4. After the Nikah is completed, please fulfill state requirements to have the marriage recorded.
5. Send a copy of the recorded Marriage License to the Marriage Officer.
Funneral/Janazah
Auburn Masjid has some burial places in Memorial Park Cemetery run by City of Auburn. The spaces are donated by our elders, May Allah reward them for this Sadaqah Jariyah. As trustee of these spaces, Masjid is obligated to allocate the spaces when the need arises.
Below are the expenses you may incur for burial
- Funeral Home cost
- City fee to open a grave site and close after burial. The fee is accepted only during normal business hours Monday – Friday. Therefore, if situation requires, the Masjid is willing to pay the fee; we expect the family will reimburse the Masjid. The Cemetery Property Manager tries to accommodate faster burial per Muslim traditions.
Please work with the Funeral Home regarding arrangements such as carrying the casket to Masjid for Janazah, arrangements at the Cemetery for lowering the casket etc.
Auburn Masjid does not endorse any Funeral Home.
